The Fahey/Klein Gallery is pleased to announce our participation in the 9th edition of PhotoFairs Shanghai. The gallery’s presentation features selected works by collaborative duo Honey Long and Prue Stent (both b. 1993 Sydney on Gadigal land) and explores enigmatic realms of femininity and identity with a distinctive blend of surrealism and symbolism.
With a practice characterized by dreamlike fluidity and fleshy sensuality, they invite viewers into a world where boundaries blur and reality bends. Their multidisciplinary approach spans photography, performance, installation, and sculpture, creating a distinctive visual language and immersive experiences that captivate the senses and challenge perceptions. Veils and fabrics, sourced from chance encounters and thrifted materials, further blur the lines between reality and abstraction, emphasizing softness as a metaphor for the fluidity of identity in a world of constant flux.
