The Fahey/Klein Gallery is thrilled to bring together iconic image makers: Ruven Afanador, Peter Lindbergh, Herb Ritts, and Bruce Weber to explore icons and myths in varied cultural identities through portrait photography.
The photographs of Bruce Weber, Peter Lindbergh, and Herb Ritts have defined the culture of the late 20th, and early 21st, century. Their images depict individuals that are so perfect, and environments that are so heavenly, that few people on this planet can create a direct connection to these elite beings. While Ruven Afanador's images, from his HIJAS DEL AGUA series, are a marvelous photographic record of women, men and children embedded in their ancestral traditions, wearing their traditional garments and surrounded by their natural environs
